With Fantastic Fest 2008 now out of the way, things around here should be back to normal soon. I’m kicking today off in a moment with 18 bone crunching new images from Chocolate. Over the weekend (not sure how far I will get) I’m working on getting up the entire introduction and Q&A’s up in video form for Jasper Sharp/Outcast Cinema/Fab Press series: Behind the Pink Curtain. I do have to say of the films I hadn’t seen before at FF this year (being a programmer there I had obviously seen a fair amount going in), that Blue Film Woman was my favorite. It’s easily up there with my favorite films I’ve seen this year along with Let the Right One In and others.
The festival this year was great and an absolute blast seeing Astropia get such a great reaction from both screenings, meeting so many new faces, finally experiencing films with an Austin/FF audience and getting to introduce many films that I loved!
Only been a day or so since the fest officially ended (technically ends on Sunday with free screenings of Let the Right One In, Chocolate and Donkey Punch) and already everyone is hard at work on getting the best programming together for 2009.
