I don’t know what your favorite poster artwork is for the great film Hot Fuzz… my favorite by far is this exciting and fleshed out with several small cool detailed touches Japanese poster artwork. Is this not some terrifically inspired and well done poster artwork? I love it!!!

Viz Pictures will be screening this film in the US in October (more info).

This sequel to the great cat and mouse thriller Death Note, was too uneven for my tastes (too much story and too little time to cram it all in nice and near seamlessly meshed), though I definitely dig that last act of the film where a great battle of wits ensue.

I liked the original and I’m a huge Sabrina Reiter fan, so I can’t wait to see this sequel!

When I interviewed Andreas Prochaska for Dead In Three Days, this is what he had to say then on its sequel:

PROCHASKA: Iâ€™ve been thinking for more than half a year on [whether to do a sequel] or not. I said, â€Iâ€™m not doing a sequel if itâ€™s just another bunch of young people getting killed.â€œ On the other hand, I wanted to tell a new story with the surviving characters. I really liked those characters and we came up with an idea that I think will work out as it reflects the condition of the main character after all [her] experiences in the first film. I also want to make it some kind of a snow western. Snow and mountains [are] always something special for Austria.

BLAKE: So you will be making it more like an actual western or like a spaghetti western?

PROCHASKA: More like a spaghetti western. Iâ€™m also a big fan of Sam Peckinpah. We were thinking of [adding] some things that are really mean. The kids are going to be meaner but most of the kids are â€¦ no, no Iâ€™m not saying any more. What I like about it is that you can have a film that is the basis for the second story that is not using the same elements and youâ€™re following a character into a new nightmare.
