Nice black & white of Quentin Tarantino directing Kurt Russell as Stuntman Mike in Death Proof. I don’t know what I make of all the casting rumors swirling around Tarantino’s Inglorious project other than the rumor mill seems to be going through ever actor alive in the Rolodex.

Sydney Tamiia Poitier is Jungle Julia in Quentin Tarantino’s, Death Proof. I happen to think this is one of my all-time favorite movie images. Say what you will about this often purposely over gabby and over indulgent film, it still leaves some magnificent moments and one seriously amazing car chase.

Maurizio Merli is a reckless cop with an itch for daredevil high speed pursuits of bad guys in Stelvio Massi’s car chase crime epic, Highway Patrol. With most of its action taking place on the road with car chase after car chase, the stakes and mayhem come at a furious clip that climaxes into some of the better car stunts seen in 70’s cinema as a whole. How this gem has alluded DVD release is beyond me. The snappy and often humorous dialogue alone in the film make it worth checking out.
