Any new film from filmmaker Edgar Wright is on my must see list and this one is no exception and simply cannot wait to see it!

Synopsis:

Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It’s getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart’s ass–and now is back in town–to the teenage distraction he’s trying to shake when Ramona rollerblades into his world, love hasn’t been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.

As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues’ gallery from her past–from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsomely identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.

In theaters this Friday comes this supernatural apocalyptic diner movie starring Paul Bettany. Count me in for check this one out opening weekend!

Synopsis:
In the supernatural action thriller Legion (official site), an out-of-the-way diner becomes the unlikely battleground for the survival of the human race.

When God loses faith in Mankind, he sends his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. Humanity’s only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner and the Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany).

After big launches in 2009 at the AFI and Toronto International Film Festival, Youth in Revolt, is now out in US theaters. It’s a fun, rebellious coming of age movie that is one of the first must see movies of 2010. This also marks breakout performances by Adhir Kalyan (who will be starring in upcoming high school stoner comedy, High School) as Vijay Joshi and Michael Cera as his alter ego, Francois Dillinger. Kalyan brings what normally would be a one dimensional role to life and in many instances nearly steals every scene that he is in. With Cera as Dillinger, he finally gets to blaze (and does so extremely well) past his lovable outsider characters to one that is much more cultivated, dark and nuanced.

If you are in Austin this is currently showing at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz Downtown (info) where you will see a hilarious 30 minute pre-show for it that you won’t get anywhere else. Also be sure to check out Rodney’s review (here).

Even though Werner Herzog isn’t at the helm, this medieval fantasy adventure that comes out March 19 looks fun with Nicolas Cage in the lead as a crusader on a quest to transport an accused evil witch. Perhaps if there is a sequel we can see Herzog doing a medieval Nicolas Cage film – Season of the Witch 2: Port of Drawbridge Camelot.

In Season of the Witch, Nicolas Cage plays a 14th century Crusader leading a perilous expedition to deliver an accused witch to a remote mountainous abbey. Also starring Ron Perlman (Hellboy 2) and Claire Foy, the Atlas Entertainment/Relatively Media production is directed by Dominic Sena (Gone in 60 Seconds) and produced by Atlas’ Charles Roven (The Dark Knight, Get Smart) and Alex Gartner (Get Smart).
