I don’t know what your favorite poster artwork is for the great film Hot Fuzz… my favorite by far is this exciting and fleshed out with several small cool detailed touches Japanese poster artwork. Is this not some terrifically inspired and well done poster artwork? I love it!!!

A lone desperado Sgt. Nicholas Angel walks down an empty street, tightly pressed lips, sunglass stare of blazing hell and fury, enough weaponry for a small army adorned from toe to ear and on the look out for cult members to mow down. Move, run and hide, as you better get out of his way… if only he can dismount from a rather odd horse with a mind of its own.

In other news, Cinematical is reporting Simon Pegg will be joining Nick Frost for a road trip movie called, Paul (more here).

Watched this film again last night and it really does stand out more and more the great collaboration and cinematic chemistry that editor Chris Dickens and writer/director Edgar Wright must have. The creative use of transitions throughout the film is worth a view alone just paying attention to it. The overall editing of sequences from the smallest and most obscure to the larger set pieces all seem so carefully planned out that their onscreen realization beautifully plays out with perfect harmony. As a whole the film never misses a beat. If you ever re-watch the film definitely pay attention not only to the many creative transitions, but also the editing of the smallest moments, pure gold!
