Apparently Tony Jaa shot so much for Ong bak 2 that the unused footage could make for over 20 more movies and 100+ more fight scenes. Ha! Well not really but there was enough unused footage that a significant unused portion will be used for Ong bak 3. Which makes you wonder if by filming being under way now for this 3rd installment (and yes Tony is still directing) if they are doing pick up shots… or if they essentially cut the movie in half and just fine tuning this next part. Regardless be sure to check out Wise Kwai’s Thai Film Journal for all the latest Ong bak 3 news (link) and rest assured there will no doubt be an Ong bak 4 (not a clue what time period it will be set in).
