Note that Timecrimes hits US DVD on March 31st. I’ve seen this movie over 7 times now and it keeps getting better and better and better and… This is an absolute must own on video! It bowed at Fantastic Fest to rave reviews and raptured an entire Austin fan base that has exploded and grown many times over since. Its award list is long but in the category that really matters, cinema timelessness, it remains a champion that will work just as well today as it will be in twenty years time. A lo-fi time travel adventure just as offbeat as it is sincere, it brings out the dreamer in all of us to remind us to never stop dreaming or believing in ourselves and love. Perfectly satisfying for what it is and such a welcome departure from so many contemporary films that are plastic and have nothing at all to say.
As for this great image of Hector in Timecrimes (Los Cronocrimenes), it’s one I hadn’t really seen before and only recently came across.
