The official website for Oliver Stone’s W. has now launched www.wthefilm.com. Right now the only thing there is the trailer, but we can expect much more in the coming weeks ahead!
Josh Brolin may not seem like the first choice in terms of physical characteristics to play George W. Bush, however, I cannot think of any actor who holds all the other intangibles that could really bring him to life. His naturalistic approach, stoic gaze, deadpan humor and cowboy demeanor certainly will lend him well in this outing.
The first picture above certainly makes me feel nostalgic with it clearly showing the form Texas Rangers stadium, Arlington Stadium. This stadium has since been torn down, so they must have dressed a different stadium to act in its place, which does seem odd as Arlington Stadium has a very unique and hard to match look. I’ll certainly be interested in how its realized in the film as I spent many nights watching baseball get played there under the stars.
