Great picture of James Dean and Natalie Wood in Rebel Without a Cause. Viewing this made me wonder what my favorite James Dean performance in a movie was… Giant springs to mind first, followed by East of Eden and then this film. Can’t even imagine the body of work he would have had if he had survived or avoided that tragic car accident.

Two of the all-time greats Lee Marvin and Spencer Tracy in one of the still sadly under seen gems and classics of cinema in Bad Day at Black Rock (1955). The Criterion laserdisc for this film remains one of my most prized possessions to this day. Be on the lookout for more images posted from this film in the coming days and weeks ahead.

I have a small series of this behind the scenes moment during the making of Rebel Without a Cause featuring James Dean and Natalie Wood. This series I consider fairly rare as I haven’t seen them featured in many books on Dean or the film itself.
