Seemed surprising that I had not posted any images from this film at this site. Here now we have the inaugural first image I’m posting here from George Miller’s Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior in the form of this rare Japanese poster artwork for it. This is easily one of my favorite all time films and posters!

I’ve been trying to track down the Japanese poster for quite some time now and it wasn’t until the last several months that I was finally able to.

I feel particularly nostalgic here with this great poster artwork for Flash Gordon (1980). I saw this film when I was a kid at a test screening of all things. This particular cut was a much, much longer cut of the film that I have sadly yet to ever see again at theaters or on home video of any format.

Cadet Captain David Shawn (Tom Cruise), Cadet Major Brian Moreland (Timothy Hutton) and Cadet Captain Alex Dwyer (Sean Penn) in Harold Becker’s drama “TAPS.”

This is one of my favorite films from youth. I haven’t rewatched it with adult eyes but it definitely left an impression on me when I was taken to see it opening weekend and was quite taken back with its eye opening drama and shocking finale (at least for me at such a young age).
