This is certainly one of the more interesting films that features a device for making money schemes at casinos in Vegas.
I think every Vegas die hard I know has a secret set of things they do when going there that they swear will let them win big. I think the thing that most surprised me on my first visit out there was seeing people max out credit cards on slot machines and then immediately filter through their wallets for another card to max out.

Not sure why exactly, but I do have this image of Mr. Jackson burned into my brain of him rolling dice in this debut film by Paul Thomas Anderson.

This is it cinema fans, one of the most exciting and incredible movie images of all time!
Sho Aikawa as Det. Jojima with a bazooka in the 1999 Takashi Miike film, Dead or Alive: Hanzaisha.
After watching this film’s opening ten minutes I sat in the theatre with my mouth agape. After watching the closing ten minutes my brain (or what was left of it) was looking feverishly for ways to cope with what I had just witnessed. Cinema doesn’t very often have that kind of effect, especially on those jaded by voracious filmic appetites.

Regardless of what is new or different with the update to the 90’s Wong Kar-wai film, Ashes of Time, it’s a welcome treat to finally be able to get a chance to see it up on the big screen this year, especially considering all the sub par home video releases.

Insanely fantastic behind the scenes picture of director Jonathan Demme literally helping Anthony Hopkins get into character as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs.

Maannnnn, this is a great movie scene!
Louis (Robert De Niro): Hey, keep your f*cking mouth shut, all right? I mean it not one f*cking word!
Melanie (Bridget Fonda): Okay, Louis…

Jules: This was Divine Intervention! You know what “divine intervention” is?
Vincent: Yeah, I think so. That means God came down from Heaven and stopped the bullets.
Jules: Yeah, man, that’s what it means. That’s exactly what it means! God came down from Heaven and stopped the bullets.
Vincent: I think we should be going now.
Jules: Don’t do that! Don’t you f*cking do that! Don’t blow this sh*t off! What just happened was a f*cking miracle!
Vincent: Chill the f*ck out, Jules, this sh*t happens.
Jules: Wrong! Wrong, this sh*t doesn’t just happen.
Vincent: Do you wanna continue this theological discussion in the car, or at the jailhouse with the cops?
Jules: We should be f*ckin’ dead now, my friend! We just witnessed a miracle, and I want you to f*cking acknowledge it!
Vincent: Okay man, it was a miracle, can we leave now?
