Many people have that favorite one single moment in Boogie Nights that stands out from all others. Many others have many favorite moments that they could never place over the other. I fall into the second of these categories and think the texture in the relationship shown between Julianne Moore and Mark Wahlberg is some of the best work I’ve ever seen in a movie. There is just that magic there that grows stronger with each viewing and especially the more you pay attention to just how damn good they are in scenes together.

The set decoration is so damn good in Boogie Nights, you can give it an entire view just paying attention to it alone. Always refreshing when a film pays such close attention to all its details in helping further craft its story and plunge you into its all encompassing vision.
