Cinema is Dope

Oh how I love the ZZ Top song Legs! One of the most kick ass songs to be listening to on long road trips or getting ready for a night out. I remember seeing ZZ Top in concert once and they had the dancers gyrating behind the white sheet in silhouette that in fact had the most amazing legs (or so their delicious shadow made it seem).

Being finally back in the states I’m completely behind on new music. How is the new Radiohead album? I’ve yet to download it. Any new cool movie soundtracks come out? I know I need at some point need to get the soundtrack to Roman and Timecrimes.

Oh wow! What a surprise today. Which begs the question… what is your favorite song on OK Computer?

My favorite song off the album has always been “Lucky.” The cover by My Brightest Diamond certainly delivers a fresh take without the usual blandness.

David Bazan’s Black Cloud’s cover of “Let Down” certainly injects fresh new life into a song that really never caught my fancy. They bring out the strengths of the song to new heights and really stir in some eloquent vibes of alienation and pining over lost love.
