It’s James Bond Day in the month long appreciation of Japanese Poster Artwork! So sit back and relax and enjoy Japanese posters from The Man with the Golden Gun, The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill.

Up first we have this great poster artwork from one of my favorite James Bond films, The Man with the Golden Gun. The illustration of Roger Moore is pretty much the same one you will see featured in other James Bond posters (like in the previous one I posted from For Your Eyes Only). I really like this artwork here as it does take some time in glancing over it to see Britt Ekland, Christopher Lee, Herve Villechaize and various scenes from it depicted. Of special note is the use of “007″ imprinted on the bullet which although highlighted might be missed upon initial viewing.

About Japanese Poster Artwork Celebration Month:
To kick off 2009, I can think of no better way of doing so than celebrating Japanese poster artwork. The emphasis will be more of western films through the lens of Japanese poster artwork and of course some of my own personal all-time favorites. At a future date I’ll probably have a month devoted to solely Japanese films and their poster artwork. So be sure to tune in each day during the month of January as I have an incredible amount of incredible Japanese posters that will be on display. Hopefully at the end of this I can convert many of you into life long fans of Japanese posters!

I certainly haven’t seen this particular outfit enough each year at Halloween!

The Wicker Man stands as one of the most requested films I get people asking me to post more from. Over the next several days I will be posting several more from this film.

At last an image from The Wicker Man comes to Cinema is Dope. Not only is this a great image but it also features Christopher Lee as Lord Summerisle in front of The Wicker Man!!! Note that I have an alternate version of this image that is virtually the same shot but with wider framing. I’ll post this version later this month along with 8 other great images from the film.
