Striking image from the last Harold Lloyd (official site) silent film, Speedy. This silent is aptly titled with Lloyd’s real life nickname. A film print of Speedy will be screened in the middle of October at the 2008 Flanders International Film Festival-Ghent (more details).

It gets no rarer than this – an unbelievable rare image of Harold Lloyd (and notice the person below him) from the famous clock scene in Safety Last! This rare official still dates back to the 1920’s and parts of it have been torn over time. I’m presenting this image largely as is and with no special cropping. Enjoy!

Happy New Year everyone. Have fun while hanging around the clock waiting for the midnight hour to strike and as a safety note – be careful who your standing next to when the new year is rung in, as anyone standing close could expect or try and give you a big wet kiss.
