This Japanese poster for one of my favorites, Rolling Thunder, perfectly captures the character of William Devane as Major Charles Rane. On first glance it may seem way too simple but upon review it works perfectly and I absolutely love this poster! Outstanding!!!!! Just sit back, review it and let it sink in. I promise at some point you will connect with, bond with and love this poster as it is the destiny for all that come across this poster.

About Japanese Poster Artwork Celebration Month:
To kick off 2009, I can think of no better way of doing so than celebrating Japanese poster artwork. The emphasis will be more of western films through the lens of Japanese poster artwork and of course some of my own personal all-time favorites. At a future date I’ll probably have a month devoted to solely Japanese films and their poster artwork. So be sure to tune in each day during the month of January as I have an incredible amount of incredible Japanese posters that will be on display. Hopefully at the end of this I can convert many of you into life long fans of Japanese posters!

Stop the presses, Linda Haynes has resurfaced! Very quietly on her IMDb listing (view here), three new pictures of her have appeared only days ago. Wow! She still certainly still looks great!!! I imagine if we can ever figure out where she is she will surely be invited on down for some screenings of her films at the Alamo Drafthouse where Rolling Thunder is still shown ever so often.

I should definitely credit Lars for setting me off on this quest to re-find this amazing image from one of my all-time favorites, Rolling Thunder. The last time I used my 30+ batch of stills was helping out some of the MadMovies guys for a piece they were doing on Paul Schrader. Unfortunately since that time my collection of collected memorabilia got split up. I’ve now come across the missing portions of my collection and will at last be getting up my entire selection of imagery up here (minus some of the giant sized lobbies I have).
