Young Thugs: Nostalgia (1998) – Takashi Miike

This is one of those posters much like the one for his previous Young Thugs film where if you saw it at a glance you wouldn’t think it was for a Miike film. The poster itself brings to mind a whimsical feeling to it that feeds into themes of coming of age, melodrama and youthful nostalgia.

I’ve yet to see Miike’s Young Thugs series and heard them referred to a lot with the recent releases of Crows Zero 1 & 2. Expect some poster artwork for Young Thugs: Nostalgia (1998) up next. You can read an older review of this from Todd Brown on Twitch (here).
