::: 40th Sitges – Filmmaker Edgar Wright’s Secret Lee Marvin Pose
Anyway when doing posts I really never expect anyone from a film to stumble across it. With the above post I found myself trading comments with the real Mr. Edgar Wright himself and not some impostor (you can also see Mr. Wright posting about it on his MySpace blog here). Can’t quite recall on many occasions seeing a filmmaker dive in and post comments back and forth but certainly welcome and I obviously felt horrible about it initially as I thought I had greatly offended them but everything seems well. Certainly makes online film media much more fun, immediate and exciting doesn’t it!
Over on Twitch I had to come up with an angle for posting 5 pictures I had taken of filmmaker Edgar Wright from his photo shoot at Sitges. Seemed a bit odd to just say “hey here is 5 pictures of Edgar” as Twitch really isn’t like a People Magazine for posting glamor pics. I knew I had to post a picture with him and a glow as some girls when he walked out were going on about him glowing, which at the time struck me as incredibly strange. Though in hindsight thinking of it now doesn’t really make sense as they would have been saying something in Spanish along those lines and in the huge commotion of Edgar walking out I just took it at face value without ever really thinking further (don’t really know a “glow” like Spanish word though sorry). So I had one picture done with a glow around Edgar as he walked out in this sort of mad media frenzy… yet still didn’t have an angle. Earlier this week and it’s nearly 3am as I write this but in brief when I got in I came across an 8×10 close up of Lee Marvin from Prime Cut. As I edited and made some Edgar pictures web ready to post on Twitch I noticed he had a very similar look in one of them to the Marvin picture. Then my angle for writing a post took off from there. I’m going to find this picture again and post a large version of it and see if people think I’ve gone off the deep end or not (really have to imagine Edgar with Lee Marvin hair for it to work and that sort of think isn’t the usual request is it?).
