There is a Rock Festival going on in the United States, Hudson, that is. ###

Rock Hudson, currently starring in MGM’s “Pretty Maids All In A Row,” simplifies his life by measuring people, places, things, movies, etc. on a “Rockter” scale, perhaps not as earthshaking as the Richter scale, it still goes from 1 to 10. “One or two at least of my 58 films are on the minus side of the ledger,” the star says.

Rock Hudson has shuttled in and out of bedrooms, won the West, gunned his way through stark war dramas, outwitted international spies, scored the last second touchdown, brought in Oklahoma oil gushers, got the girl, never lost a battle, and now, adding one more dimension to his career, is starring in the blackest of black comedies, MGM’s “Pretty Maids All In A Row,” first picture to be directed in the United States by Roger Vadim.

Rock Hudson, currently starring in MGM’s “Pretty Maids All In A Row,” blames the New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois (Hugh O’Brien, Charlton Heston, Ralph Bellamy and Ann-Margaret, are also alumni) for certain problems he has today. “They went by the Washburn Syste. We were never taught to write. We had to print. So my penmanship is terrible. We were never supposed to do homework. We were to learn during class. Consequently as an adult I never do my homework or prepare anything. When I have to learn my lines I do it at the last minute.”
