Being a huge fan of The House on the Edge of the Park, Live Like a Cop, Die Like a Man and Cannibal Holocaust (and of course his second unit directing work on films like Django) it certainly was an unexpected honor to meet Ruggero Deodato at the 40th Sitges Film Festival. When I was introduced to him he immediately grabbed my face and said I must be an actor. I said I wasn’t and he said with a face like mine I should consider it. Incredibly nice guy and hopefully can work in bringing him down to Austin for an event perhaps, who knows…
I assume everyone already knows that The House on the Edge of the Park was one of the cast and crew screenings done in Austin while Grindhouse was being filmed.
