Caption:
Director Richard Rush sets up a shot for an action sequence requiring a speeding Duesenberg to plummet off a bridge in “The Stunt Man,” both an entertaining look at movie-making and a drama about the conflict between reality and illusion.

One of the highlights of 2006 was getting a chance to chat with director Richard Rush on his classic opening sequence of, “Psych-Out” (1968). I am head over heels in cinema love with that sequence. So I can’t tell you what an honor it was talking to him about it. As for “The Stunt Man” I consider it hands down one of the best films I’ve ever seen. Pure timeless cinema magic!
