"Tokyo!" is one of the best films I have seen in a long time.

My personal favorite segment was the third by Bong -- an exploration of the new phenomenon of social seclusion paired with a harrowing view of a potential future as it spreads. As a citizen of the new digital generation, I find myself often drawn to the same physical disconnection that the protagonist embodies -- albeit he to a much more sever degree. Gondry follows a couple trying to start a new life in Tokyo, culminating in a strange but mesmerizing metamorphosis by the lead female character. Carax tackles the tale of a monster as he wreaks mayhem on the city that gives the film its name. Each story pull its weight in this three-part cinematic endeavor.

The best part? It's out on DVD and Blu-ray right now! Absolutely a must-buy for anyone who loves surrealism, entertainment, and quality film.
