Lee Marvin Month – February 2009
Vintage Wallpaper of the Day

Easily hands down one of my favorite photographs of Lee Marvin ever. Someone jokingly asked me in passing when I posted up a rare photograph earlier of Mr. Marvin from a TV episode of The Virginian (link) if I would also be posting one up from him in the TV episode from Combat! he starred in, The Bridge at Chalons. TV stills are sometimes even much harder to come by but I was able to track this extremely rare one down and it’s one of the essential pictures of Mr. Marvin that this month long tribute would be sorely missing if I didn’t have it.
LEE MARVIN with the stealth of an animal prey, stalks the enemy between him and a bridge he must destroy on “Combat!”
