One of the big regrets of 2010 will be not getting a chance to get out to the 2010 International Film Festival Rotterdam for its Kiju Yoshida retrospective of 7 films. What a solid lineup they have selected! I absolutely love this beautiful still from Eros + Massacre and am extremely proud to finally have an image from this film on Cinema is Dope!

From IFFR Listing (more):
Yoshida’s masterpiece is a daring analysis of sex, politics, revolution and art in modern Japan that shifts back and forth between the 1910s and 1960s. Long and complex, but with inspiring content and enchanting cinematography. One of the highlights of Japanese post-war cinema.
